DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Hard-working 6.7L Ram Cab & Chassis trucks face major reliability risks from their stock EGR equipment. Recirculated soot continuously pollutes the air charge, creating restrictive carbon deposits that choke off engine breathing and cause heat to build up rapidly during heavy commercial operation.
  • Beyond airflow restriction, the fragile OEM EGR cooler unit frequently splits under intense heat, risking coolant loss and severe internal motor damage. This complete elimination package bypasses those high-stress failure points entirely—ensuring unrestricted airflow, cooler operating conditions, and maximum dependable uptime on the job site.

Key Features

  • Block off the EGR system with CNC-machined billet aluminum plates that handle commercial-duty heat cycles without warping
  • Reroute coolant flow cleanly after cooler removal, maintaining cooling system efficiency without sacrificing flow to the block
  • Shield intake valves and manifolds from abrasive carbon particulate — keeping airflow paths clean and oil degradation at bay
  • Accommodate the tighter firewall and frame clearances unique to 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cab platforms
  • Eliminate the factory EGR cooler as a failure point, removing the risk of coolant leaks and potential hydro-lock during heavy-lift operationsFAQ

Q: Why won’t a standard pickup EGR delete kit work on my Chassis Cab?

A: Chassis Cab trucks use a fundamentally different frame design, coolant hose routing, and EGR valve geometry. A pickup kit forces hoses to kink, plates to sit crooked, and coolant passages to leak. For pickup applications, use our standard EGR delete kit.

Q: Why doesn’t this kit include an EGT probe port?

A: The tight firewall clearance on commercial chassis cabs leaves almost no room for a probe body and wiring. A solid block-off plate eliminates threaded fittings entirely, removing a potential exhaust leak source under sustained heavy load.

Q: How does deleting the EGR system affect engine oil life on a fleet truck?

A: By stopping abrasive soot from entering the combustion chamber, the kit prevents carbon from saturating your oil. Cleaner oil retains its lubricating properties longer, reducing wear and extending drain intervals.

Q: Should I install this alongside a DPF exhaust upgrade?

A: Doing both at once creates a complete open-breathing system. The EGR delete cleans up the intake side, while a 4" Chassis Cab exhaust clears exhaust backpressure — together they drop EGTs sharply and prevent engine derates.
