Q: What do I gain by also deleting the throttle valve instead of just the EGR cooler? 

A: The throttle butterfly is a deliberate intake restriction that exists only to create a pressure differential for EGR metering. Removing it along with the EGR system gives you a straight, unrestricted intake path. The turbo spools faster from a stop, throttle input translates to acceleration more immediately, and the engine isn’t fighting a built-in airflow choke on every intake stroke.

Q: Does the coolant bypass installation require bleeding the cooling system afterward? 

A: Yes. Since the bypass hose installation requires opening the factory coolant circuit, you’ll need to refill coolant to the correct level and bleed any trapped air pockets from the system. Skipping the bleed step can create vapor pockets that interfere with coolant circulation and potentially cause localized overheating. Take your time on this step — it’s critical.

Q: What kind of performance gain can I expect when pairing this delete with an upgraded intake horn?
