DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • On 2007.5–2024 Ram 6.7L Cummins diesels, the factory EGR assembly continuously routes hot, soot-laden exhaust gases straight into the fresh-air intake charge. When this dense carbon soot meets recirculated oil vapors, it bakes into an abrasive, sticky sludge that coats intake runners, restricts valve movement, and chokes airflow. Left unaddressed, the resulting air starvation drives Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs) into dangerous territory, putting extreme thermal stress on the cylinder head and risking head gasket failure.
Key Features
  • Replace the failure-prone butterfly valve with a solid straight-through aluminum pipe that cannot jam, flutter, or slam shut
  • Maximize intake air volume by eliminating the turbulence and restriction created by the factory throttle blade
  • Accelerate turbo spool and sharpen throttle response through a smooth, direct airflow path
  • Remove the risk of catastrophic engine suffocation — no blade means no sudden closure under load
  • Withstand high boost pressures reliably with TIG-welded, pressure-tested aluminum construction
  • Drop inlet air temperatures and reduce EGTs by feeding the motor unrestricted, clean air instead of heated soot-laden mix

FAQ

Q: If my tuner already disabled the throttle valve electronically, why physically remove it?

A: Electronic deactivation stops the actuator motor, but the metal butterfly blade stays inside the intake tract. Boost pressure and vibration can force that blade to flutter or snap shut mechanically — your tuner has no control over a physical mechanical failure.

Q: Can I install this pipe while the factory EGR cooler is still bolted on?

A: Yes. The pipe works as a standalone upgrade as long as your custom tune allows you to disconnect the throttle valve electronics. For the best results, pair it with a complete EGR valve and cooler delete kit.

Q: Will this change how my truck sounds?

A: Your exhaust tone stays the same. However, the unrestricted intake path often produces a more pronounced turbo whistle and spool sound — a byproduct of air moving freely without obstruction.

Q: Does orientation matter during installation?

A: No. The delete pipe is fully symmetrical and flows identically in both directions, so it’s impossible to install incorrectly. Just make sure the gaskets seat flush before torquing down.
