Safety & Testing
Every hitch component is crafted from premium, high-strength materials and engineered to meet rigorous industry towing safety standards. Our weight and break strength ratings are backed by extensive laboratory load and stress testing to ensure reliable, heavy-duty performance under tough, real-world conditions. Every product undergoes strict multi-stage quality control and anti-corrosion testing before leaving our facility to guarantee maximum safety, structural integrity, and long-term peace of mind on the road.
Q: Is a stopper needed if I already have a fairlead?
A: The fairlead only guides the line — it doesn’t stop the hook from slamming into it. Without a stopper, every full retraction is metal hitting metal, slowly wearing both parts. A stopper is cheap insurance that extends the life of each.
Q: Does it work with a roller fairlead and steel cable?
A: Yes — roller or hawse fairleads, synthetic rope or steel cable up to 1/2" all work. The split design wraps around any common winch-line setup.
Q: How snug should it sit against the fairlead?
A: Tight enough to keep the line under light tension and the hook from rattling, but not so tight that it crushes the stopper. It should absorb the impact, not pass it through. A quick bump of the remote dials in the right stowed tension.
Q: What winch components does this stopper pair with?
A: It sits on the line between the 33,000 lbs winch hook and the fairlead, and works with our 1/4" x 50ft synthetic winch line or any cable up to 1/2".
