DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • On 2007.5–2010 GM Duramax 6.6L LMM trucks, the factory EGR loop introduces severe thermal stress and heavy intake contamination. Recirculating abrasive exhaust soot back into the charge-air stream leads to heavy carbon coking across intake runners, accelerates engine oil breakdown, and traps extreme heat in the combustion chambers—while exposing the factory EGR cooler to eventual internal core cracking and coolant loss.
  • Precision-engineered to eliminate these primary failure points, this LMM Duramax EGR Delete Kit completely removes the failure-prone EGR cooler and valve assembly. Equipped with heavy-duty, precision-machined block-off plates, it permanently seals the exhaust and intake ports—stopping soot accumulation at the source, eliminating coolant leak risks, and delivering lower EGTs for maximum engine durability.

Key Features

  • Seals the LMM intake and exhaust flanges exactly with billet aluminum and stainless plates for a drip-free fit.
  • Bypasses the fragile factory cooler to stop internal coolant from leaking into the cylinder heads.
  • Removes the heavy EGR valve and cooler for good, cutting abrasive soot at the source before it reaches the intake.
  • Cools combustion under heavy towing by halting hot exhaust recirculation into the intake.

FAQ

Q: Does this kit come with the 3" intake elbow?

A: No — it’s the base EGR delete with only the plates and hardware to remove the cooler and valve. For an intake bridge upgrade, look at the up-pipe and intake version.

Q: Do I need a block-off plate for the passenger up-pipe riser?

A: No. Because this kit swaps the factory up-pipe for a riserless high-flow pipe, the EGR branch is gone completely — nothing to block off there.

Q: Does coolant still flow through where the cooler was?

A: It gets rerouted. The included high-temp silicone bypass hose carries coolant around the removed cooler and back into the primary loop for smooth circulation.

Q: What kind of gains should I expect?

A: With intake bottlenecks gone, EGR soot eliminated, and exhaust drive pressure freed up, you’ll feel sharper throttle, faster spool, noticeably lower EGTs under load, and a smoother powerband across the rev range.
