DESCRIPTION
Product Overview
-
The factory exhaust system on 2011-2023 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke diesel trucks is designed for emissions control and daily operation, but it can create additional exhaust restriction under heavy-duty driving conditions.
- The 4" Exhaust Pipe Upgrade replaces the restrictive factory exhaust section with a larger-diameter 4" pipe system designed to improve exhaust flow, reduce backpressure, and provide a more efficient exhaust path for your Powerstroke.
- Premium T409 SS: Mandrel-bent 4" T409 SS tubing ensures maximum exhaust gas flow, superior corrosion resistance, and high-heat endurance.
- Eliminate DPF Clogging: Replaces restrictive factory CAT & DPF units to put an end to constant regens, soot buildup, and severe power loss.
- Lower Towing EGTs: Eliminates exhaust backpressure so heat escapes instantly, significantly dropping Exhaust Gas Temperatures during heavy towing to protect your turbo.
- Unleash Iconic Turbo Whistle: Clears out exhaust restriction to unlock a deep V8 growl and the classic Ford 6.7L turbo whistle under acceleration.
FAQ
Q: Do I need a delete tuner to run this pipe?
A: Yes. Because this pipe removes the factory emissions equipment, a compatible delete tuner (such as a Mini Maxx V2) is required to clear DPF codes and prevent Check Engine Lights or Limp Mode.
Q: Does this kit require welding?
A: No welding is required. It is designed as a direct bolt-on mid-section replacement. Depending on your exact wheelbase and bed length, minor pipe trimming or hanger adjustments may be needed during installation.
Q: Do I need to re-install factory exhaust sensors into this pipe?
A: No. This is a smooth straight pipe without sensor bungs. Once your ECU is tuned for a delete, the computer bypasses these sensors entirely. You can simply unplug and secure the factory sensor harness.
Q: What is the benefit of upgrading to a 4-inch exhaust pipe?
A: The larger diameter design helps improve exhaust airflow, reduce restriction, and provide a more efficient exhaust path compared with restrictive factory components.
