DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Powered by smooth inline-six engineering, the 3.0L LM2 Duramax delivers impressive efficiency, yet its factory EGR assembly compromises long-term intake health. The OEM setup continuously routes hot, carbon-heavy exhaust soot back into the intake manifold, where it combines with crankcase oil vapors to build up a thick, restrictive sludge. Over time, this baked-on accumulation chokes airflow, degrades combustion efficiency, and exerts localized thermal stress that can cause the factory composite intake manifold to warp or crack.
  • Precision-engineered to permanently isolate your charge-air system, this 3.0L LM2 Duramax EGR Delete Kit completely replaces the factory valve and cooler assembly. Featuring heavy-duty CNC-machined block-off plates designed for an airtight, leak-free seal, it stops power-robbing manifold contamination at the source, eliminates manifold cracking risks, and ensures your engine operates strictly on cool, clean, oxygen-rich fresh air.
Key Features
  • Built from premium T6-6061 billet aluminum and corrosion-resistant plates that shrug off years of heat and pressure.
  • Keeps dry exhaust soot out of the intake, stopping the notorious “soot + oil” carbon buildup before it can ever start.
  • Takes the EGR cooler out of the loop so hot exhaust stops warming the engine coolant, keeping intake air temperatures down.
  • Removes the failure-prone factory EGR cooler, preventing the internal cracks that flood cylinders with coolant, white smoke, or hydrolock.
  • Feeds the engine pure fresh air instead of hot, inert exhaust gas, restoring low-end torque and quicker turbo spool.

FAQ

Q: Why does the kit include a coolant bypass hose?

A: The factory EGR cooler has coolant flowing through it, so taking it out leaves a gap in the loop. The included U-shaped silicone hose bridges that gap, keeping your engine’s coolant circulating flawlessly and leak-free.

Q: Is custom tuning necessary to run this EGR delete?

A: Yes, an ECM flash or tune is required. Removing the EGR valve will trigger a permanent check engine light and put the engine into a derated “limp mode,” so you need to run a custom delete tune to shut off the EGR software sensors.

Q: Is it worth combining this EGR delete with a turbo-back DPF delete pipe?

A: Yes, for a complete “full delete.” The EGR delete keeps the intake clean while a DPF delete pipe opens up exhaust flow. Pairing the two lets the 3.0L Duramax breathe and exhale freely, dropping EGTs and maximizing MPG.

Q: Does deleting the EGR lengthen the engine’s lifespan?

A: Yes, significantly. By keeping abrasive exhaust soot out of the cylinders, the engine oil stays cleaner for longer, which reduces friction and wear on vital internal components such as piston rings, cylinder walls, and bearings.
