DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Pinched exhaust pathways, extreme thermal loading, and dirty intake air hamper the efficiency and responsiveness of 6.6L Duramax LML engines. The stock DPF acts as a major exhaust bottleneck during heavy towing, while the factory EGR loop constantly dumps abrasive soot straight back into your intake manifold.
  • Maximize exhaust scavenging and restore engine cleanliness with this complete LML 5" Race Pipe & EGR Delete Combo. Designed to eliminate severe exhaust restrictions and bypass soot recirculation, it optimizes total airflow throughput, restores immediate throttle response, and provides a clean, simplified layout for off-road and race builds.

Key Features

  • Drops straight onto late-15.5–16 trucks with 3-bolt flange geometry matched to the factory downpipe connection.
  • Replaces the DPF canister with smooth 5" pipe that eliminates backpressure and ends the fuel-wasting regen cycles.
  • Deletes the EGR cooler and reroutes the CCV oil mist to keep the turbo, intercooler, and intake dry and carbon-free.
  • Bundles the exhaust, EGR, and CCV work into one pass around the tight rear engine compartment to save labor.

FAQ

Q: What does the 5" downpipe-back exhaust deliver?

A: The 5" system replaces the restrictive factory components to open up flow, cut restriction, and lower heat under heavy-duty driving — with a deeper, more aggressive tone.

Q: What’s the CCV/PCV reroute for?

A: It stops oil vapor and crankcase contaminants from being reintroduced into the intake, keeping the intake tract — and the turbo and intercooler — cleaner over time.

Q: What happens to the original EGT and NOx sensors once the DPF is removed?

A: Disconnect and store the sensors since they're no longer active. To prevent shorts or damaged wiring, plug the open frame-side connectors with a sealed harness plug kit to block out road spray, mud, and corrosion.

Q: How hard is the install?

A: It depends on the truck’s condition and your experience. Professional installation is recommended, especially for pulling the factory emissions parts and EGR cooler.
