DESCRIPTION
Product Overview
- The factory CCV system on the 6.7L Powerstroke vents oily crankcase blow-by directly back into your turbocharger inlet. Over time, this causes heavy oil sludge accumulation on turbo compressor wheels, degrades intercooler efficiency, and coats intake valves in sticky carbon buildup.
- The CCV Recirculating Kit provides an internal heavy-duty aluminum catch can that separates oil mist and moisture from crankcase blow-by, returning clean, oil-free air to the intake with zero cabin odor and zero messy driveway drips.
- Heavy-Duty Billet Aluminum: CNC-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum with high-temp O-ring seals for zero leaks under high crankcase pressure.
- Oil & Moisture Separation: Traps heavy oil vapors and blow-by mist before it reaches your turbocharger, intercooler piping, and intake valves.
- No Tuning Required: mechanical bolt-on upgrade. Does not trigger Check Engine Lights or require custom ECM tuning.
- No Odor, No Drips: Unlike open-atmosphere reroute kits that leave oil spots on driveways and oil fumes in the cab, this closed system filters blow-by air and routes clean air back to the intake.
- Extends Turbo & Engine Life: Prevents oil sludge build-up on sensitive turbo compressor blades, maintaining peak boost efficiency and intercooler cooling capacity.
FAQ
Q: Will installing this CCV recirculating kit affect my boost pressure or horsepower?
A: No. The high-flow internal chamber and smooth-bore hoses are designed to match factory airflow specs. It maintains ideal crankcase pressure without restricting engine performance or reducing turbo boost.
Q: Can I use this CCV kit alongside an EGR delete or CP4 disaster prevention kit?
A: Yes. This system operates independently of your exhaust and high-pressure fuel systems. It seamlessly integrates with both stock trucks and vehicles fitted with EGR delete kits or CP4 bypass setups.
Q: What happens if I forget to drain the catch can?
A: The reservoir has ample capacity for thousands of miles of driving. However, if allowed to overflow, excess oil will simply be pulled through the recirculating return line into the intake—just like the stock system—preventing any fluid backpressure risk.
Q: Does this kit require periodic cleaning beyond draining the oil?
A: Minimal. We recommend unscrewing the billet top and rinsing the internal stainless steel baffle with brake cleaner once a year (or every 20,000 miles) to remove micro-carbon buildup and keep filtration efficiency.
