Seguler Key Lock SOTF Switch 2004.5-2005 Chevy GMC Duramax LLY
Product Overview
Q: Can I switch tunes with the key while the truck is off, or does it need to be running?
A: No — you can switch positions while you’re driving. With the key in, just turn it to change maps instantly, then either leave the key in or pull it out to lock that tune.
Q: What’s the wiring procedure for hooking this switch to the LLY Duramax ECM?
A: Feed the harness through the firewall grommet so it reaches the engine bay, then land the two wire pins on Pin 49 and Pin 69 of the gray ECM connector. Cross-check your tuner’s notes before locking the pins in.
Q: What if I lose both keys — does the truck stay stuck in one tune?
A: It does — it stays locked on whatever position you last set. The switch runs on a resistor network, and pulling the key mechanically locks the dial to that exact voltage mapping. Keep the spare second key at home just in case.
Q: Will this LLY switch work on a 2003 LB7 or a 2006 LBZ instead?
A: No. Even though the pin numbers look similar from one generation to the next, the voltage parameters and ECM hardware inside are different — so you have to pair the switch with the exact engine code you’re running.
