DESCRIPTION
Product Overview
-
Heavy exhaust backpressure, trapped EGTs, and sticky carbon buildup limit the power, responsiveness, and airflow efficiency of 6.6L Duramax LML trucks. The restrictive factory DPF canister traps intense heat and restricts exhaust velocity, while the stock EGR system constantly feeds abrasive soot back into the intake manifold.
- Clear out primary breathing bottlenecks with this complete LML 4" DPF Race Pipe & EGR Delete Combo Kit. Designed to open up exhaust scavenging and bypass exhaust gas recirculation, it restores instant throttle response, eliminates power-robbing manifold sludge, and delivers maximum airflow performance for off-road and race applications.
Key Features
- Keeps exhaust velocity high through a 4" pipe that quickens turbo spool, sharpens throttle, and holds cab drone in check.
- Deletes the DPF and CAT canisters for a 4" race pipe that sheds backpressure and stops fuel-wasting regen cycles.
- Removes the EGR cooler outright so soot can’t reach the intake valves and internal coolant leaks become a non-issue.
- Fits late-build trucks cleanly thanks to 3-bolt flange geometry matched to the factory downpipe layout.
FAQ
Q: Why is fitment limited to 2015.5–2016?
A: GM revised the downpipe flange and exhaust connection in the middle of the 2015 run. This kit carries the late-15.5–16 flange profile, so it bolts up straight with no leaks.
Q: If I’m swapping the downpipe too, which one should I pair with it?
A: Match it to a 2015.5–2016 LML downpipe that uses the 3-bolt clamp flange, which is designed to seat cleanly against this 4" race pipe.
Q: Does this bundle include a CCV reroute, and should I add one?
A: The package covers the 4" race pipe and EGR delete only. Removing the EGR stops the soot, but a CCV Reroute Kit is a worthwhile companion to keep oil mist out of the turbo and intercooler plumbing.
Q: Can I install this with ordinary hand tools?
A: Generally yes — the pipe and block-off plates use basic mechanical joints. The area behind the LML engine near the firewall gets tight, so extensions, swivel sockets, and penetrating oil will save you real effort.
