Q: Will it work on a 2021 Silverado 1500 LT? 

A: Yes. It covers every 2019-2024 Chevy Silverado 1500, LT trims included — just make sure it isn’t the Silverado 1500 LD.

Q: How is the Silverado 1500 LD different from a regular 1500? 

A: The LD is a carryover of the previous body style with different tailgate mounting, so it’s a different fit. This kit is made only for the new 2019+ body.

Q: Does it change how the tailgate opens or closes? 

A: No. Opening and closing stay the same — the kit only slows the downward movement after you release it.

Q: Need one for an older Silverado/Sierra or an HD model?
