Q1: Does deleting an L5P actually add horsepower by itself?
A1: No. Removing the DPF, EGR, and CCV hardware adds zero power on its own — the gains come from the tune, which is only possible once the emissions hardware is gone or deactivated. With a proper tune, expect roughly +75 to +150 hp and +150 to +300 lb-ft.
Q2: How much does a complete L5P delete actually cost?

Q3: What’s the difference between 2017–2019 and 2020–2023 tuning?

A4: The L5P’s J1939 sensor network needs to terminate cleanly where sensors are removed. Without the plugs, you’ll get ghost codes, malfunction lights, and corrosion at the exposed connectors — and in some cases the fuel gauge won’t read.
